Neah Bay, WA is in Phase 1 of the Makah COVID-19 Public Health Protocols.
News and Information:
Updated Monday-Friday and posted at Beʔis and Village Market
  • There are no new positive cases since July 23, 2020. New close contacts were identified after yesterday’s update. As of July 23, 2020 at 4:30 PM there were approximately 52 close contacts across 11 households. All known close contacts of this positive case have been contacted by STIHC/Public Health staff.
  • If you have questions or concerns please call the Makah COVID-19 call line at (360) 645-6273. Any concerns about a violation of the Health Order or the Face Mask Order must be reported directly to Neah Bay Public Safety Dispatch at (360) 645-2701.
  • Clallam County is still a High Risk Area, in addition to Jefferson, Kitsap, King, Whatcom, Pierce, Snohomish, Thurston, Grays Harbor and most other WA counties.
Please remember: The Makah Covid-19 Public Health Protocols are designed to preserve and protect every life in the Makah Community. The current Health Order 03-20 prohibits indoor and outdoor gatherings because gatherings create an easy way for the virus to spread. Please follow the order and support your loved ones in being safe as well.

The Makah Tribe's Behavioral Health staff is available to support you. While the Makah Wellness Center is physically closed, our mental health counselors and Makah Recovery Services (substance use disorder professionals) are fully operational and continue to schedule appointments via telephone or Zoom (online video).
If you need to talk to one of our counselors about any questions or concerns about how you are feeling during this time of uncertainty, please call the Makah Wellness Center at 360-645-2075 and you will be connected to a counselor Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm. After hours support can be reached by calling our regional crisis line at 1-888-910-0416.
