Neah Bay Data

0 Active cases

Clallam County Data

All counties in WA are High Risk, save San Juan and Columbia Counties. High risk is defined as 2% or higher positive tests. Clallam County is at 3.5%

10 fatalities since March 2020
There is a steady decline in number of cases.

Washington State Data

State rates continue to decline for the past few weeks.

Variants of Concern

13 cases of B.1.1.7 in Clallam County - higher transmissibility
3 cases of B.1.429 in Clallam County

Vaccine Information

Moderna vaccine available on Fridays at the Clinic for ages 18+
Pfizer vaccine available on Thursdays at the Community Gym for ages 12+
Johnson and Johnson  (one dose) available by request for ages 18+. Call STIHC.
Rate for one dose in Neah Bay - 75%
Rate for two doses in Neah Bay - 64%

Many thanks to the youth who stepped up to get vaccinated.

There is also an evolving interest around cases of cardiomyopathy (cardiac swelling) in young people post-vaccine. There are <10 cases in Washington.

Makah Tribe Updates

July 4th - MTC has authorized a firework show for July 4th.

There will be 15 fireworks permits for stands. These are available from Britt Olsen on June 7 - the permits will be distributed on a first come-first served basis and will continue to be distributed till gone.

Still no word on the American Rescue Relief funds.

Makah EOC Updates

May 26 - Distribution of masks and hand sanitizer at the Village Market.
