Neah Bay Data

0 active cases
13 recovered
0 in quarantine

Clallam County Data

Clallam County is still a high-risk county with 5% of tests positive; anything greater than 2% is high risk
53 active cases with 1290 total
2 new hospitalizations
2 new fatalities for 9 total in the county

Washington State Data

Data is showing a steady decrease overall as vaccinations rise
Variants of Concern are still monitored; only B.1.1.7 in Clallam County (2 cases)
No other Variants of Concern in Clallam County

Vaccination Updates

Pfizer Vaccine has been approved for  ages 12+ by FDA; other required approval by CDC/ACIP by end of week; 100% effective for this age category
​Vaccination rate in Neah Bay is 74% for shot 1 and 69% for shot 2

COVID Vaccines at STIHC

All three vaccines available by end of the week
Moderna vaccines continue on Fridays
​Pfizer vaccines will begin May 27
​Johnson and Johnson vaccine as requested

Makah Tribal Council Update

Information about the American Rescue Plan for federally recognized Tribes was distributed 
Dollar amounts are to be distributed among federally recognized Tribes with dollar amounts to be determined
MTC is considering options; funds may be used for: public health system needs, mitigating negative impacts on small businesses, premium pay for essential workers, investment in water/sewer systems, investment in broadband, and replacement of public sector revenue. 
MTC will direct additional attention to refining the eligibility requirement for small businesses.

EOC Updates

The EOC is working with graduation planning and 4th of July celebrations
Please keep up-to-date and check with STIHC and Washington state websites
Please practice active travel safety
Community distribution of masks and hand sanitizer on May 25 at Village Market
Please practice social distancing and personal protection measures
Masks are still mandatory in public spaces
